Lazy Saturday

I took on my son to play “putt putt” (mini-golf to most people). He put up a good match, neither of us however are ready for the “pro” putt putt tournament here. (yes there is one). The championship for said tournament is held at this course every couple years. This is funny, in a “Tin Cup special” sort of way…

Also I went to the Bean Baskette Coffee shop (alternative bar) place today. Not bad, the owner has gone to some length to find a roaster, he pays to get his coffee over night from a roaster in Pennsylvania. Wonder if he knows there is a good roaster over in Atlanta (and one in Aiken for that matter).
He had a reasonable selection of coffee but does not sell it by the pound (citing the economy, uh, how expensive is his coffee by the pound for cryin out loud. $14 is pretty standard, but if he is getting it from PA I guess I could see added expense).

The atmosphere was good, the bar was intriguing, he has a twitter acct and fb acct but does not seem too active on them. Which is fine, I can understand being busy running your own business.
Several of the patrons were bragging on the food, I will have to try some on a following trip, though I was disappointed by the lack of selling whole bean. He also highly recommended his flavored coffee. I have never really been a huge fan of it. Maybe during the fall I could go for one with some cinnamon or something. I found a website some time back that has a pumpkin spiced coffee (not latte or anything just coffee).
